Denise Morden
Unforgettable Vintage
www.unforgettablevintage.com
It is destiny; Denise has been moving toward this point since early childhood, when, at three, she would hand work the treadle of her French seamstress Grandmother’s antique Singer, and learned to appreciate the fabrics, and fabrications, the glamour, delicacy and subtle sensuality of bygones times. She wore vintage since the 1960s, and has been self employed in some aspect of design since the 1970s. The 80s and 90s were spent in full time jewelry design, again using vintage components...which slowly morphed into the full time sale of vintage finery.
Four stores and twenty years later, she has come full circle, returning to design, with the added element of incorporating all her beloved vintage components. Without stores, and the need to cross many eras, Denise has been able to focus on her favorites, Edwardian to Depression eras, with the new motto, “Restore it as authentically as possible, or re-purpose the parts into something wonderful and very wearable…nothing goes to waste!”.

So, in addition to her amazing collection of highest quality vintage items, there are now the re-purposed jewelry, clothing and hats…all hand created from components from 1890 – 1940: beaded, sequined dress parts, trims, jewelry components… keeping the past alive today.
Her collection, and the creations, can be seen at all the Vintage Fashion Expos, and can be found on the website, www.unforgettablevintage.com.
Remember, looking swell is the best revenge....so...always strive to be UNFORGETTABLE !!!

VINTAGE BLUE MOON
Kristi and Robert Alvarez
www.vintagebluemoon.com
Like so many other women in the field of antiques and vintage
clothing, Kristi Alvarez grew up surrounded by her grandmothers
many antiques and stylish wardrobe. She would watch her grandmother make her own patterns and sew her own clothes and she fell in love with all things “fashion”. She especially fell in love with her grandmothers large collection of jewelry and would love to watch her get all dressed up to go out dancing.
Kristi started collecting vintage clothing, primarily 1940’s and 1950’s, as a teenager and later started producing vintage fashion shows for women’s teas and luncheons. Her collection grew and in 1998 she and her husband, Robert, decided to move into the retail aspect of vintage by selling vintage clothing from the 1900’s to the 1950’s. She then expanded her inventory to include vintage accessories, estate and costume jewelry, and has recently added men’s vintage clothing.
With her husband being an Optometrist, vintage eyewear was naturally included in what would eventually be her wide variety of vintage accessories.
Kristi does all of the Vintage Fashion Expo shows which include three in Santa Monica and two in San Francisco .
Her recently completed website can be found at:

LITTLE TREASURES ANTIQUES

Little Treasures Antiques and Vintage was born out of a life long love of shopping and collecting, two things I do very well. I've always said if you do something well you should do it a lot.
Along with my husband Tim, I started Little Treasures Antiques as a part time business in 1996. With our combined shopping and collecting skills working overtime it didn't take long before we were
selling in a downtown Long Beach antique store, had a warehouse full of merchandise and doing the Vintage Fashion Expo in both Santa Monica and San Francisco as well as a few local antique and
textile shows. In early 2001, after 22 years working in managed health care and 7 years as an operations manager for a furniture manufacturer, I turned Little Treasures into my full time business.
I currently do about 25 shows a year and operate the Little Treasures website at www.littletreasures.net. It's a busy schedule but I love doing shows. I particularly love the Vintage Fashion Expos. They are a faster pace with more energy and excitement than the antique shows I do and I meet a lot wonderful people that share the passion for vintage fashion. My true love, of course, is vintage fashion from the 20's through the 40's. The style, design and glamour of those eras's are my favorites and my personal
passion is costume jewelry and purses, little works of art. It's the excitement of the hunt for new "little treasures" and the thrill of finding them that keeps me going and makes me know that I will
never stop searching.
